AKIKO

Akiko is a breath of the orient and a slight modernity.

This stunning base is a large ceramic block with two ears styled with bamboo stalks. Smooth and matt. Small cracks are part of the styling, which adds to its mystery and charm. The solid is covered with protuberances in strategic places, where the pattern appears, to emphasise its two-dimensionality.

The combination of grey and a shade of navy blue and turquoise captures the uniqueness of this base.

I dared not disturb this delightful harmony with a dynamic and energetic lampshade, hence the subdued fine horizontal stripes (inside and outside). It seems to me that they form a harmonious duo.
